Sanaa Noma – A showcase of Urban Creativity

Starting this Friday, 11th MayThe GoDown Arts Centre will host a 2 week exposition of Poetry,Urban Dance,Hip-Hop Free style and Visual Art. In what might seem like a reminiscent of WAPI(Words And Pictures),the event, dubbed ‘Sanaa Noma’ is aimed at discovering emerging forms of creative and visual arts such as Matatu Art,Grafitti and poetry performance. Alot of potential has been discovered through these underground forums as they strive to seek the artistic creativity from its performers and visual artists as well. Indeed, Grafitti painting was earlier not considered a form of visual art until it became the defining factor in the Matatu(public transportation) industry.
